I took my wife and nine month old there. Perfect for what we were looking for. Quiet, safe, private, and a great central location. A great spot!

We held my oldest daughter's baby shower at Big Oak, and my youngest daughter's wedding there as well. I cannot say enough good things about this place or Jennifer and Ian! They are absolute wonderful & amazing people to work with! The barn, the manor house, and the views are absolutely breathtaking! Both events turned out beautifully. I had so many compliments that I have definitely recommended the venue to prospective clients. I cannot thank Big Oak Manor and Ranch enough for making our events extra special!

We attended an engagement party here and...WOW! This place is the perfect combo of country and class. It was an 85 degree day and HOT, but there was plenty of shade and breeze upstairs in the barn to keep things comfortable and the downstairs was nice and cool. The only thing more gorgeous than the bride-to-be was the views...mountains, rolling hills, horses! My boyfriend spent most of his time hanging out at the bar area, which was an old corncrib. Super cool! He and the fellas also enjoyed playing cornhole. There were a few other games but my favorite was getting to pet the horses along the trail. Oh, and I'm not sure how they did it but the restrooms were super classy but also country chic. I will definitely be keeping this place in mind whenever I get married!

We brought our family to stay for a short weekend to go to Luray Caverns. Honestly, we had as much fun at the house as the caverns. My kids (7, 4, and 17 months) felt right at home in the farmhouse. They loved going in a big circle through all the rooms downstairs (and I loved being able to close the doors to the stairway for safety). The giant window behind the dinner table was another huge winner in our book, the view is so amazing i thought it was a picture at first. The horses and cows were another fun win for us. As for the adults, we really enjoyed how luxurious the house felt, everything was spotless and new, the furniture was a stunning mix of modern and period, and the kitchen (i could cry about how much i loved the kitchen). My weird favorite thing in the whole house was the sink in the downstairs bathroom. Idk why. I just loved it. You can tell a lot of love and thought went into renovating, decorating. and furnishing this house. The comfy beds, the fluffy towels, the fancy showers, they all created a really upscale and decadent vibe. We will definitely be coming back to visit this farm house and the animals that live around it. Would love to see it in all seasons. Thanks Jennifer and Ian for letting us stay at your place and pet your horses, hope to see you again soon!

We had a great stay! the cabin was well appointed and had everything we needed to cook a nice meal and relax by a fire every night. it was a perk to have access to a canoe to paddle the river. Old Rag hike was a highlight for us visiting the area, highly recommend!

We held our daughter's wedding this past weekend at Big Oak Manor and Ranch and stayed in the Manor home for 2 nights. We can't stop thinking about our beautiful visit to the property. From the welcoming bedrooms to fully stocked kitchen, this home had enough space for 10 people all weekend long. The evening sunset views over the mountains and the early morning quiet time really added to the experience. The barn had ample space for our wedding of 65, plenty of room for tables and dancing. The outdoor patio gives guests the option of an outdoor or indoor ceremony. From the ease of working with Jenn and Ian to the beautiful restored home and barn, this was an amazing wedding weekend! If you are looking for a wedding/party venue with the ability to stay on property- book a stay at Big Oak Manor & Ranch, it will be a beautiful weekend to remember.
